VIRGIN Plus,Fido & Rogers are postpaid plans, whereas KOODO is a prepaid plan. PhoneBox offers both.

Both are equally good.

if you are going to stay for a longer duration and you are 18year or older its advisable to opt for a Postpaid plan.

If you are going for a shorter duration, or you are a student under 18 years you can only choose a prepaid plan.

If you wish to try buying a SIM card in canada after exploring markets, you should go for a prepaid plan.

Select your plan and submit the application. If you choose the SIM to be delivered to your residence, it takes 3-8 days to get your SIM delivered depending upon your location. You are always notified about the package tracking.

For Prepaid- Once you submit application, we will send a payment link on email/whatsapp. as soon as the payment is received, SIM is dispatched to your address.

You will receive your monthly bill on your email after 5 days of activation, and you get another 15 days to pay the same. You can pay with any master/visa card, GIC account, Forex card or at the nearest service provider store .

 Yes, our International SIM Cards are compatible with most unlocked phones, ensuring a seamless transition without any hassle. 

For Postpaids- SIM cards will be activated 24 hours prior to your arrival, insert SIM to slot 1 of your phone to use the SIM post landing in Canada/USA.

For Prepaid 

1. Insert the Koodo Prepaid SIM into your phone once you’ve landed in Canada. Your exclusive rate plan will be activated as soon as your phone connects to the Koodo network. You’ll also receive your first SMS with your new PIN. Use your Account PIN XXX when you dial * 611 to easily review account details, register for Automatic Top, and more, or, when you schedule a callback with a Koodo rep over the phone.
2. To change your preferred language (default English) on your account, set up a callback by visiting www.koodo.com/chat
3. If you want to change your phone number, register for a Prepaid Self Serve account
4. Top UPyour Koodo Prepaid Before your 30-day ends.

For Virgin Plus- Login to your Virgin Plus account post landing to activate you eSIM

For Fido/Rogers - Scan the QR code sent on your email, post landing in Canada.

 Yes, our International SIM Cards are compatible with most unlocked phones, ensuring a seamless transition without any hassle.

1. Register for your Prepaid Self Serve account
2. Under “Profile,” select Change Number then Select a new phone number.
3. Select your local calling area in Canada, then select a phone number and submit
4. You’re done! Its FREE

For Prepaid- You have two choices - you can continue with Koodo Prepaid service by topping up before the end of 30 day period or switch to a monthly Postpaid Telus service. 

For Postpaid- This is a monthly ongoing plan. You will get bill each month till you continue your service.

Once you have a Self Serve account, you can choose from three top-up options:

1. Credit or Debit card: Register a Canadian credit or Visa Debit card on Prepaid Self Serve. You can also register for automatic 30-day top-ups. It’s a hassle-free way of making sure you have service each month.
2. Top-Up Voucher: Koodo Prepaid top-up vouchers are available in stores across Canada.
3. Instant Top-Up: Tell the cashier your phone number and your top-up amount ($10 - $100) to have it instantly added to your account. Available at select locations across Canada

Note: In order to continue the service after your 30-day trial, your account needs to have enough money to pay for the next 30 days of service (enough to cover your plan).

Easy Roam®
With Easy Roam® you can use your existing phone plan when you travel abroad. You're only charged for the days you use your monthly plan's minutes, data or texts. Check our Easy Roam page to see how much it costs to use your phone while you travel.

 Log in to your Self Serve account.

1. From the Self Serve dropdown menu, select Mobile services
2. On the Mobile services page, select "Travel with Easy Roam"
3. On the Easy Roam page, select the "Add Easy Roam" button (once you have the Easy Roam add-on on your account, it'll say "Easy Roam active")
4. You're good to go! You can now use your Koodo phone while travelling abroad.

Note: If you don't want to use Self Serve, you can always text ROAM to 7626 or get help from Koodo Assist to activate Easy Roam.

We offer No Contract Plans, that gives you convenience to easily change your plans as per your needs to port your number to a different service provider.

For Virgin Plus/PhoneBox/Fido/Rogers- You can change your plan either by logging to your  account or contacting customer care of the respective service provider. 

For Koodo/Phonebox Prepaid - you get exclusive plan if you topup before expiry of 30 days trial period, if you top up after 30 days, you can choose from various in market prepaid plans available. 

 You need to submit copy of your passport first & last page and visa stamped page ( or Visa Approval Letter ) and proof of address. Your documents received via application form are secure and encrypted. We need these documents as a mandatory requirement by Department of Telecommunications, Government of India.
